Dental X-rays are extremely important for the dentist to understand the problem that you are facing with your teeth. It enables the dentist to get a general overview of the patient’s mouth, esp. those hard to reach areas. X-rays allow the dentist to see all of your teeth from crown to the bottom of the root, check for root fractures, abscesses, jaw fractures, any hard tissue change in your bone that supports the teeth etc.
